LOS ANGELES

CASTING NOTICE for LOS ANGELES FEMALE SINGERS:

Sunset Singers provides live music and entertainment for performing arts centers, theatres, casinos, concerts, cruise lines, fairs, festivals, and other public, private and corporate events in Southern California and throughout the United States.

Sunset Singers is currently casting for the following:

• Females:

• Vocalists for the holiday group, The Sugarplums! The Sugarplums were the Winners of the Christmas Caroler Challenge on The CW and perform for public, private and corporate events.

• The Sugarplums begin rehearsing in September in Burbank. Performances are from early November through Christmas. Potential travel within the US. Singers should have a flexible schedule and be interested in performing in CA and the US. Competitive professional pay.  

Specifically seeking singers with great vocal range and personality to spare, who are fantastic with harmonies and move very well. Looking for dynamic performers with throwback appeal, able to command a stage. All ethnicities encouraged to submit. 

How to submit:

For initial consideration, we are requesting your headshot, resume & a link to a self-taped audition and/or performance video (not an attachment).

• If self-taping your audition, please record one or two songs (each with a verse and chorus) with your choice of music from the 1940s-1960s or Christmas music.

• If submitting a previously-recorded performance video link, please make sure the clip(s) are relevant to that style and era of music.

Please email your headshot, resume & any self-tape and/or performance video links (not attachments) to sunsetsubmissions@gmail.com no later than August 16th. Please list “LA Sugarplums” in the email subject line. Those who have auditioned in the past are welcome to submit again.

Callbacks are currently scheduled in person for the week of August 19th. We will contact you directly with material to prepare for callbacks and provide additional information.

NEW YORK

CASTING NOTICE for NEW YORK SINGERS:

Sunset Singers provides live music and entertainment for performing arts centers, theatres, casinos, concerts, cruise lines, fairs, festivals, and other public, private and corporate events in NYC and throughout the United States.

Sunset Singers is currently casting for the following:

• Female Vocalists for The Sugarplums

• Vocalists for the holiday group, The Sugarplums! The Sugarplums were the Winners of the Christmas Caroler Challenge on The CW and perform for public, private and corporate events.

• The Sugarplums begin rehearsing in September in NYC. Performances are from early November through Christmas. Singers should have a flexible schedule and be interested in performing in NY and surrounding areas, with potential travel throughout the US. Competitive professional pay.  

• Singers called in for The Sugarplums will also be considered for year-round acts including The Hollywood Dolls and The Sweethearts.

• Female Vocalists for The Starlets

  • Female Vocalists for a 1960s female tribute act featuring famous girl groups like The Supremes and iconic soloists like Fontella Bass, Dusty Springfield and Aretha Franklin.

• Male Vocalists for The Suits

• Male Vocalists who move very well for The Suits, a male vocal group that sings four genres over four decades: Motown, Doo Wop, Pop and Rock.

Specifically seeking singers with great vocal range and personality to spare, who are fantastic with harmonies and move very well. Looking for dynamic performers with throwback appeal, able to command a stage. All ethnicities encouraged to submit.
